EDMONTON — Leon Draisaitl capped a two-goal effort with the game-winning goal with 31 seconds left in overtime to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 comeback win over the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final on Wednesday.

Draisaitl fired in a power-play goal from the slot on a feed from Connor McDavid.

Panthers forward Tomas Nosek set up Edmonton’s power play with a delay of game penalty with 1:43 remaining after he flipped the puck into the crowd on a clearance attempt.

Viktor Arvidsson and Mattias Ekholm, with the game-tying goal, also scored for Edmonton.

Sam Bennett, with two goals, and Brad Marchand produced the offence for Florida.

The two teams met in the best-of-seven championship series last season, with the Panthers winning in Game 7.
