1940 – 2025
Mrs. Deanna Anderson of Redcliff, beloved wife of the late Mr. Donald James Anderson, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 84.
Deanna Delores Dumont was born on September 20, 1940, in Maple Creek Saskatchewan to John (Jack) and Ruth Dumont. She spent her early years living a nomadic lifestyle, often in tents and wagons, on the dusty prairies from Wild Horse to Manyberries as her dad worked on various ranches. The family moved back and forth between Redcliff and the Wild Horse area several times in the mid-forties until permanently settling in Redcliff in 1947. Deanna went to grade school in Redcliff and later to Medicine Hat for high school. She married Don Anderson in 1959 and welcomed a son, Ronald James in 1960 and another son, Sean Leonard in 1970. She was a gifted artist, computer whiz, avid Cribbage player and enjoyed gardening and canning. Deanna loved playing darts with her boys and spending time with her family. She spent many a weekend camping and fishing on the dock at Reesor Lake. She worked for the city of Medicine Hat for over 35 years.
Deanna loved her family and will be dearly missed by Sean Anderson (Deb); daughter-in-law, Loretta Anderson (Brent); grandchildren, Michael Anderson (Korissa), Montana Anderson (Christopher), Devon Anderson (Michaela); numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Pat) Dumont; sisters, Cindy (Doug) Murray and Sandi Pfeifer (Sherman); brother-in-law, Gene (Donna) Diment; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deanna was predeceased by her parents, John (Jack) and Ruth Dumont; husband, Don Anderson; son, Ronald J Anderson; mother-in-law, Delima Diment; stepfather-in-law, Ernie Diment; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Collings, Shirley Anderson, Mavis Diment; brothers-in-law, Lyle Anderson, Rod Diment, John Collings, and Dwayne Pfeifer.
The family wish to thank the staff at AgeCare Riverview for the loving care they gave Deanna.

A private family interment will take place at Redcliff Cemetery.
A public Come and Go tea will be held at the Redcliff Legion on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 1-5PM.
