Thousands of Medicine Hat Tigers fans reserve tickets for Memorial Cup watch party

Jun 1, 2025 | 2:30 PM

Supporters will be let back into Co-op Place to cheer on the Medicine Hat Tigers one last time this season.

The City of Medicine Hat is hosting a free Tigers watch party for Sunday’s Memorial Cup final — and the city said that over 4,400 fans have acquired tickets as of Sunday afternoon.

The facility’s doors will open at 3:30 p.m. ahead of the 5 p.m. puck drop.

The Tigers will try to claim their first Canadian Hockey League championship since 1988.

They topped the Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights in a fierce on-ice battle Tuesday night, avoiding having to play for survival in a semifinal.

Trampas Brown, the city’s guest experience and operations manager, said in a media statement Wednesday it was only right to open up the barn for the Medicine Hat community.

“With the excitement the Tigers have provided our community here at Co-op Place this season, it’s only fitting to have fans in the stands one last time cheering on our team,” Brown said.

“This Tigers’ postseason push has brought an indescribable energy and sense of camaraderie to the community.”

Tickets can be reserved for free at Tixx.ca.
