Traffic stop leads to cocaine bust
A planned traffic stop on Tuesday near Redcliff led investigators to seize a kilogram of cocaine and charges of drug trafficking for two city residents.
ALERT estimated the street value of the cocaine at $125,000.
Two Medicine Hat homes were searched following the traffic stop.
In a release, Staff Sergeant Ryan Thorburn with ALERT Medicine Ha says ” our enforcement strategy was successful in stopping this large amount of drugs from circulation. This is a sizeable seizure for Medicine Hat and spared our community considerable harm,” said Thorburn.
