CALEDON — American Cameron Champ shot a 4-under 66 in Friday’s morning wave to become the clubhouse leader in the second round of the RBC Canadian Open.

Vancouver’s Richard T. Lee fired a 6-under 64 to rocket up the leaderboard and sit in a tie for second with Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen.

They are three shots back of Champ’s 12-under overall score.

Olesen was co-leader after the first round, tied with Chile’s Cristobal Del Solar.

Lee was born in Toronto but raised in Vancouver and is now based in Chandler, Az.

He is currently third on the Asian Tour’s order of merit.
